MARY HELEN MILLER, CPA

Mary Helen Miller has been with Miller & White Incorporated since August 1999 and was admitted as a partner in January 2005.  She has been in public practice since 1997 and has experience in taxation of various entities and individuals.  She is familiar with many types of industries and businesses including the timber industry and the medical profession.

In December 1996, Mary Helen graduated from The University of Southern Mississippi in Hattiesburg, Mississippi.  She has a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with an emphasis in accounting.

She is married to Glenn Miller, a registered forester, and they have two children, Reilly and Brennan.

Mary Helen has been a certified public accountant since September 1997 and is a member of the following professional affiliations:

  • American Institute of Certified Public Accountants
  • The Mississippi Society of Certified Public Accountants

She is active in her community and is involved in the following civic groups:

  • Member of Faith Presbyterian Church, Brookhaven, Mississippi
  • King’s Daughter’s Medical Center Foundation Board Member
  • Board Member and Treasurer of Brookhaven Trust

KOREY W. WHITE, CPA

In January 2005, Korey became partner at Miller & White, Incorporated having previously worked several years as supervisor for the firm. Korey also has a strong background in private industry accounting. Before joining the firm in 2000, he worked for McLane Southern in Brookhaven and American Railcar Industries in Bude as the Senior Accountant with each company.

Korey is a graduate of Brookhaven Academy and Copiah-Lincoln Community College. In 1996, he received his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from The University of Southern Mississippi and graduated with honors.

Korey has professional affiliations with the following:

  • The Mississippi Society of Certified Public Accountants

He is involved in several civic organizations including:

  • Deacon at Mt. Moriah Baptist Church, Bogue Chitto, MS
  • Member of the Industrial Development Foundation for the Brookhaven-Lincoln County Chamber of Commerce
  • Past member of the Brookhaven-Lincoln County Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors
  • Past President of The University of Southern Mississippi Alumni Association for Southwest Mississippi

Korey lives in Bogue Chitto with his wife Crystal who is a school teacher. They have two daughters, Mary Claire and Cassie.


STAFF ACCOUNTANTS

KRISTI FRAZIER, CPA

Kristi, staff accountant, joined the firm in December of 1999. Kristi is a graduate of The University of Southern Mississippi with a Master’s degree in Accounting. She is a member of the Mississippi Society of Certified Public Accountants and the American Institute of Certified Public Accounts. Kristi lives in the Enterprise community with her husband, Jason, and their four daughters, Alex, Rachel, Julianna, and Jacey.

ELLEN M. MATTHEWS

Ellen is a 2007 graduate of The University of Southern Mississippi with a BS degree in Accounting. She joined the firm in 2008. She is married to Deacon Dennis Matthews and has three children, and two grandchildren. She lives in McComb, MS and is a member of Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church.

DANIEL B. CALCOTE

Daniel joined the firm in July, 2010 as a staff accountant. He is a graduate of the University of Mississippi with a Bachelor in Accountancy degree and a Master’s of Accountancy. He and his wife, Kayla, live in the Brookhaven area.

LANA PHILIPP

Lana joined the firm in January of 2009 as a staff accountant. She is a graduate of Southeastern Louisiana University where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting. Lana has over 10 years of accounting experience in small business and private industry. Lana and her husband, Charles, live in the Fair River community with their two boys, Jacob and Drew.

KARA BLAKENEY

Kara joined the firm as a staff accountant in December 2009. She is an honors graduate of the University of Southern Mississippi with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and a Master’s degree in Accounting. She is from the Monticello area.

 

ADMINISTRATIVE STAFF

RHONDA RIALS

Rhonda, business manager, joined the firm in June 1996. She is a graduate of Enterprise High School and Copiah Lincoln Community College with a certificate in Intensive Business Training. Rhonda and her husband Johnny, along with their children Jake, Madison, and Sawyer, are active members of Victory Baptist Church where she is Treasurer. They live in the Enterprise community.

KAREN FOSTER CHAFFIN

Karen Foster Chaffin joined our firm in May 2010. She graduated from Loyd Star High School and from Copiah-Lincoln Jr. College with an AAS degree. She is married to Stuart Chaffin and they have two boys, Sidney and Casey who are students at Brookhaven Academy. They attend First Baptist Church.

CARLY BROOKE WALDROP

Carly Brooke Waldrop joined our firm in August 2010. She is a graduate of Brookhaven Acedemy and Copiah-Lincoln Community College with an Associate Degree. She attends Heucks Retreat Baptist Church.
